For Delegates

The Brewers Congress brings together the leading and most influential figures of the industry from the UK and overseas. The speaker programme gives the most extensive and in-depth educational line up of any UK brewing conference, and all packed into one day.

The morning focuses on flavour trends, developments in ingredients and methodology with presentations from subject experts and pioneering brewers. The afternoon talks will address the business and branding side of working in a brewery with lectures from industry leading designers, trailblazing brewery owners, and experts in funding, regulation and more.

Tickets include attendance at all talks, hot food and drink throughout the day and a beer tasting in the afternoon intermission. It also includes access to the trade hall where industry suppliers will be exhibiting and demonstrating a range of products and services.

8:40am – 10:00am: Brewing Session One | The morning focuses on developments in ingredients and methodology with presentations from subject experts and pioneering brewers. The speakers will address common challenges faced by brewers and how best practice and new research can overcome. 

10:00am: Panel Discussion One

10:15am: Break | Great Hall Exhibition

11:00am – 12:20am: Brewing Session Two | Continuing the morning focus on brewing, session two will explore trends in flavours and how to incorporate them in your brew. 

12:20pm: Panel Discussion Two

12:35pm: Lunch | Great Hall Exhibition

1:40pm – 2:40pm: Business Session | The afternoon talks will address the business and branding side of working in a brewery. The first session will have talks from  trailblazing brewery owners, and experts in funding and more.

3:50pm: Branding Session – Continuing the afternoon focus on the business side of brewing the final session of the day will look at branding and brand positioning. With talks from industry leading designers, regulators and researchers.

Menu

Food and drink is included with every ticket.

Main dishes
– Casserole of Scottish smoked haddock, salmon and spinach, shallot, dill and cream sauce
– German sausage, belly of pork, sauerkraut and potato in a mustard, caraway and Riesling scented casserole
– Lentil moussaka – a vegetarian version of the classic Greek dish with layers of aubergines and braised lentils (V)

Side dishes
– Roast root vegetables with a honey glaze (DF, GF, V)
– Peas, diced leeks and sugar snaps tossed in minted butter (GF, V)
– Roast new potatoes infused with rosemary (DF, GF, V)

Exhibition

The Great Hall, which is next door to the lecture theatre houses the catering (all included in the ticket price), the beer tasting (again included) and the trade exhibition.
